Day 1

8/26/2022

Day 1 of being a 4Runner owner. After the 2 hour drive back home last night I realized I don't want to use my phones speaker as the only source of music while driving. So while drinking my morning coffee I got on Crutchfield.com and ordered a new head unit, speakers, and a powered sub for under the seat. I put one in the F250 and loved it. I'm not trying to win any competitions, just want some decent bass.

With that out the way its time to take care of the rest of my to-do list

So yeah, big day. First stop was the title transfer where they took just about as much money as the stereo upgrades...Grabbed the wipers on the way back home. Rained pretty bad when I was taking her home last night and that's a bad time to realize you need new wiper blades. Added the 4Runner to my insurance and with the help of some forum posts, grabbed the struts and shifter bushings from Amazon.com and picked up the necessary bushings from Lowes. Grabbed some floor mats off Amazon.com too because the factory carpet mats are too nice to mess up.

Headed to the local tint shop where they fit me in to knock out the backseat and cargo area windows. The front already had tint but the back was all tinted glass and it drove me nuts.

I did some test runs on the sticker stripe removal to make sure the ghosting wouldn't be too bad, and its not. Ill finish that tomorrow.

 Way to hot outside.
