LED Gauge Lights, Floor Mats, & more

08/29/2022

Came home to a few packages, floor mats, LEDs, and a new rear wiper.

For the floor mats, I thought about going with WeatherTech mats but I really haven't been happy with the cut in the last few vehicles. The best floor mats I have were the cheap knockoffs I got off eBay for the Jeep. So I took a chance on THESE from Amazon. They are pretty good, love the "deep dish" and they lay really nice on the floor. They cover a lot of area, I only had to trim off 4 of the squares on the door sides. The color is a bit off but I don't know what color this interior is. Definitely not tan, grey would look off as well. Maybe I should have went with black. These will do fine for now, at $35 maybe I'll get some in black later.

After throwing the new rear wiper on I started taking apart the dash to change the old bulbs out to LEDs. When I picked her up I felt the original lights were pretty dim, love the simplistic look of the gauges just needed some more light. It took a few tries to get them in the right way, I might have swapped a couple bulbs 3 times out of confusion. Looking at the comparison....Id say it was a waste of time, which is disappointing. I guess the white light is more modern than the green, and the ignition switch light is MUCH brighter. Still need to do the center area but ill take care of that when I take it apart for the radio install.

Pretty Meh on the color
